Columbus Landmarks' Annual Design & Preservation Awards
2007 Award Winners:
Each year, Landmarks honors individuals and
institutions that have made exceptional strides in promoting historic
preservation and producing quality urban design in central Ohio. Landmarks
bestowed six awards, including the prestigious James B. Recchie Design
Award.
Recchie Design Award
The 2007 Recchie Design Award was awarded
to North Bank Park and Pavilion, owned by the City of
Columbus and designed by Acock Associates Architects and HKI Associates,
Inc.
The four other finalists for this award were The Brunson Condominiums,
owned by Long & Wilcox, LLC and designed by Jonathan Barnes Architecture
and Design; Ft. Hayes Metropolitan Education Center, owned by Columbus
City Schools and designed by Schooley Caldwell Associates; Ohio Avenue
School, owned by Columbus City Schools and designed by Ricciuti Balog
Harris AJV; and the Short North Arches, owned by the City of Columbus
and Short North Special Improvement District.
