Saved from Most Endangered Building status, the city’s coal-fired power plant is being transformed into an extraordinary commercial space where Garth’s Auctioneer & Appraisers and other tenants will hang their shingles next year. Fifty-foot ceilings, a giant coal hopper, crane hooks, steel beams, brick walls, clerestory windows, and a 206-foot iconic smokestack are being retained to create a much desired, authentic industrial-style space.

Join us for this special preview event where you will be the first to experience the new energy of the raw historic interior with music from Arnett Howard & Friends, a live auction by Garth’s, construction tours, a satisfying summer spread featuring local craft beer, wine & food, and recognition of the people involved in this remarkable rehabilitation. This project is utilizing Ohio Historic Preservation Tax Credits … let’s celebrate!

Parking available in the lot adjacent and west of the Municipal Light Plant on south side of the street for $4.

Your ticket purchase supports Columbus Landmarks efforts to advocate for historic preservation and quality new design ensuring landmarks in the future … we thank you and our sponsors & partners!

Sorry, Daniel – it is a fundraiser for Columbus Landmarks, hence the ticket price. We offer lots of other tours and events for much lower prices or for free, but this is an opportunity to raise needed funds for our efforts to advocate for historic preservation. We sincerely thank you for your interest – Becky West
