Join us for a walking tour to explore a hidden-in-plain-sight section of East Broad Street in Bexley that is rich with significant architectural variety and history.

Saturday, April 22 10 a.m. to noon
Members $15/Non-Members $20

The tour begins at 1925 St. Charles Preparatory School, 2010 East Broad Street, a lovely campus and former seminary replete with building styles ranging from Spanish Colonial to Gaelic. The tour continues to the nearby gated Sessions Village, designed by Robert Reeves in 1928 and styled after a Norman Village with cobblestone streets, varied roof lines, fleur-de-lis motif, and courtyard gardens. We will then stroll to observe the exterior of the neighboring 1855 Francis Sessions Octagon House – an eight-sided residence inspired by an obscure health movement.

Our tour guides are experts in architecture and history and they look forward to walking with you: David Binkovitz, Lou Fabro, Bob Loversidge, and Doreen Uhas Sauer. Tour group size is limited. Your ticket purchase supports the work of Columbus Landmarks Foundation, a 501(c)(3) dedicated to preserving our city’s architectural heritage and promoting the highest standards in the design and construction of new buildings and spaces. We thank you!
