At the Wood Repair Workshop, led by the Ohio Historic Preservation Office, learn the basics of repairing damaged wood to prevent the removal of historic material from your old building. This hands-on training workshop will include instruction on how to stabilize wood with moderate to severe rot using wood consolidants and epoxies. The preparation of repaired wood for repainting will also be covered. Participants will work in teams and be provided with all the tools and materials needed to complete the steps involved in wood repair. Techniques learned can be used for most wood repairs including windows, siding, and trim. The workshop will be held in the Jefferson Center Carriage House, 65 Jefferson Ave. (located directly behind Columbus Landmarks Foundation at 61 Jefferson.)
