Programs & Events

Landmarks takes great pride in its quality programs. Our programs are led by professionals in the fields of architecture, architectural history and other related fields. These individuals share their knowledge and expertise with great enthusiasm.

Advance ticket purchasing is strongly recommended because programs fill up quickly, and groups are often limited in size. For walking tours, tickets are not refundable. Old Franklinton—Historic Roots from a Log Cabin to a Cemetery

Wednesday, June 18th, 6 pm-8 pm
Historic Franklinton (1797) is the settlement in Central Ohio that birthed the City of Columbus (1812). Its rich history can be found in the stories of extraordinary people who settled there and significant architectural artifacts—from a log cabin to the Harrison House, from the land office to the pioneer cemetery, which is currently undergoing clean up and preservation thanks to the extraordinary present-day community people. This is a free event, however Columbus Landmarks is suggesting participants support the work of the Franklinton Historical Society by becoming members that evening ($10.) Tour begins at the Franklinton County Genealogical Society, Harrison House, 570 West Broad Street.
