For most of its life, a corner of East Columbus near the intersection of Fifth and Cassady Avenues has been overlooked … until recently. WOSU’s Columbus Neighborhoods, the Emmy ® award-winning documentary series, has reawakened interest in the area, the heart of a working class neighborhood.

Join us Saturday, May 20 for a walking tour featuring St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Bungalow Jazz (a grand home where a family with 12 children were raised), Lisska Bar (where we’ll treat you to a cup of coffee and a slice of their famous pie), and the  Ralston (old Rarig) Foundry, a building three times longer than the LeVeque Tower is tall. Along the way, you will learn the stories of the Polish, Italians and others who built this authentic community and the families who are rooted in this neighborhood today.

Tickets: $15 Members, $20 Non-Members

Tour begins at St. Thomas the Apostle Church
