Columbus Landmarks is pleased to have received a $5,000 grant from the Charlotte R. Haller, and Martha G. Staub funds of The Columbus Foundation to support development of an historic preservation curriculum for high school students. The grant serves as partial match for the $10,000 grant recently received from the Richard and Julia Moe Fund of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

The curriculum will introduce urban students to understanding historic preservation, design concepts, craftsmanship, building arts and urban planning in both an academic and vocation setting. The curriculum design will be guided by an advisory board representing historic preservation agencies, education professionals, architects, urban planners, institutions of higher learning, and vocational and arts professionals. Columbus Landmarks is working with the Fort Hayes Metropolitan Education Center Advisory Board.
