About the Endangered Properties Fund

The Endangered Properties Fund is an acquisition revolving fund that secures the long-term preservation of vacant or underutilized historic commercial properties. The Fund allows Columbus Landmarks to collect historic properties through donation or purchase; protect properties with historic preservation easements; and connect properties to productive, preservation-minded new uses.

The Endangered Properties Fund was established with a $200,000 bequest to Columbus Landmarks from the Albert W. and Bonnie R. Van Fossen Fund at The Columbus Foundation. Columbus Landmarks was recently awarded a $50,000 grant from The 1772 Foundation to grow the fund capital.
